“The Cal-Royal NM8453’s Latch bolt is retracted by the lever from either side unless the outside lever is locked by an operating toggle button. Deadbolt projected by key from outside or by thumb turn from inside. Both the deadbolt and latch bolt are retracted by the inside lever simultaneously. The latch bolt is deadlocked when the outside lever is locked or when the deadbolt is projected. The outside lever is unlocked by the toggle button if the deadbolt is retracted. The inside lever is always free for immediate egress.
